NewAge Performance Products (NAPP) approaches the changing needs of the biopharma and pharmaceutical markets in two ways.

Developing new products. Our team stays active in industry conversations about the challenges manufacturers face, and those insights drive our new product development. Ideas are refined in our own labs under continual observation until they meet the performance the market needs.

Solving our partners’ challenges. We work directly with industry partners on their unique requirements. Our in-house testing capabilities let us answer technical questions quickly, so product changes and new product development move forward efficiently.

With these approaches our team of seasoned experts is bringing new products to market and supporting the refinement of existing products to support the industry in the best way possible.

At NAPP, we test and validate new product concepts in our own labs for OEM and industrial partners. Keeping R&D on site helps control development timelines and costs without relying on outside facilities.

That also lets you choose the scope. Some partners need a single validation test. Others want a full program from concept through manufacturing. We support both, and everything in between.

Our R&D capabilities are organized into three test areas. Each one has its own equipment, so we can match every project to the resources it needs.

At this stage of product development, the testing performed in our analytical lab provides valuable data for material characterization for our team.

Typical testing performed include:

  • Differential Scanning Calorimetry
  • Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA)
  • Rheological Testing
  • Optical Microscopy
  • Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) Microscopy

Provides testing capabilities such as:

  • Burst
  • Leak Bubble Emission
  • Bend Radius
  • Tensile
  • Low-temperature Freeze
  • Heat Aging

The Pilot Lab is a small-scale test area used to validate concepts prior to scaling them for full production runs. It is in this stage of product development that exploration, evaluation and utilization of alternative processing techniques are used to arrive at the ideal scenario.

As the product development team works through their initiatives, the need for specialty connectors, fittings, etc. sometimes arises. The in-house 2-D printing capabilities enable the creation of specialty components designed to support R&D quickly and cost effectively without an interruption in the overall process.

Sustainability is a priority for our industry partners, and it is one for NAPP too. We are working to reduce the impact of how we make our existing products, and we are looking at new product options that can help our partners meet their own sustainability goals.

Since our inception in 1954, sustainable practices in some forms have been evident, with official demonstration occurring in 2011 with the installation of over 4,000 solar panels on the roof of the corporate headquarters moving the location toward 100% energy independent. In 2024, with the award of an EcoVadis Platinum rating placing the organization in the top 1% of companies in our class, our continued commitment is apparent.

With sustainable manufacturing in full swing, NewAge Performance Products (NAPP) now commits to exploring and producing products that are sustainable for all markets served.

While we research new and innovative ways to bring even more tubing to market, our sights are set on how we can offer compliant, affordable tubing and hose products comprised of recycled materials.

With tubing and hose R & D in full swing, our technical team concurrently is running initiatives to develop complementary products such as alternative cap designs and more.
